Thanks to my fabulous friend Julie, I have pictures to share of the quilt I've been working on. Here is the long view. We have it stretched on a frame to make the actual quilting easier. There are ten "rows" of squares and we've finished three of the ten so far.
Here you can see it in more detail. The black thread is basting that loosely hold the three layers together while we to the quilting.
And here is more of the detailed work we put into the pieces. Each square is ten inches by ten inches white on two sides and light to dark blue on two sides.
I always feel so wholesome and good when I'm quilting...like Laura Ingalls Wilder is inhabiting my body or something. Let me tell you though, the conversations we have around a needle and thread are not for the faint of heart. These ladies can dish.
