First of all, let me tell you how badly I've been trying to hold this in. I know not many people watch Deadwood on HBO, but I just can't help it. There were only two episodes left last night of regular season storylines and they absolutely are pulling out all the stops.
I cried - sobbed - when they killed Ellsworth. He's the only character on the whole show who’s been totally pure from beginning to end. He didn’t deserve to go like that. And Trixie, God, I felt bad for Trixie, who talked him into marrying Alma, who, ultimately, was the reason for his murder.
But how awesome was it when Al yelled at Alma not to get hysterical, and she took a deep breath before taking hold of his arm, back straight as a line, and went up to the office to wait for what would come next.
It was brilliant. Just brilliant.
