With the election results finally final, we can all (or at least fifty-one percent of us) take a huge sigh of relief. The Dems won both the House and the Senate, Rummy is out, abortion is still legal in South Dakota, Arizona voted down a ban on gay marriage, and in Missouri they voted for stem cell research.
It feels like a brand new day.
Except that Mexico took it one step further and voted to recognize same-sex civil unions. How does it feel to know that Mexico has advanced beyond us? Not so good.
In writing this post I searched high and low for a picture. I went with the one above, but the search turned out to be so fruitful I thought I'd share.
