Methinks Thou Doth Protest Too Much, Or Tim Hardaway Plays on Ted Haggart's Team

I'm not saying Tim Hardaway is gay or anything, but this is what he had to say about former NBA player John Amaechi coming out:
When Miami Herald columnist Dan Le Batard asked former NBA star Tim Hardaway about how he would have felt dealing with an NBA teammate who was openly gay, Hardaway responded with a full-blown barrage of personal feelings on the touchy topic.

"First of all, I wouldn't want him on my team. You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known," Hardaway said. "I don't like gay people and I don't like to be around gay people. I am homophobic. I don't like it. It shouldn't be in the world or in the United States. And second of all, if he was on my team, I would, you know, really distance myself from him because, uh, I don't think that's right. And you know I don't think he should be in the locker room while we're in the locker room. I wouldn't even be a part of that," he said.

What it reminds me of is the rhetoric spouted by people like Ted Haggart. Given the amount of crap gay people have to take in this world, it seems ridiculous that would choose to be gay. They just are. It just is.

And also? Tim Hardaway is totally gay.
