Darfur Needs Our Help, Superfriends!

I'm going to take a moment here and get a little serious.

It's time to ramp up the pressure on China and demand that they stop supporting the genocidal government in Sudan. To help shine the spotlight on the role of the Chinese government in perpetuating the violence, Darfur activists will unite in New York to form a human chain between the Chinese and the Sudanese Missions to the United Nations.

The chain will represent the link between the Chinese and Sudanese governments. The economic linkages between these two nations help to support the Sudanese government and have hampered the ability of the United Nations to end the genocide.

If you're going to be in NYC this Saturday, March 10th, and you want to get your daily dose of do-gooding, give this a thought.

1:00-1:30 P.M. Rally will kick-off at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza (across the street from the Sudanese Mission to the U.N.) on 47th St. between 1st and 2nd Avenue.
1:30-2:30 P.M. Human Chain
2:30-4:00 P.M. Main Rally in St. Vartan's Park (in front of the Chinese Mission) on 35th St. between 1st and 2nd Avenue.
