First I want to say that it's seven-fifteen am, the new Harry Potter book has been out since 12:01 this morning and I don't have a copy yet. I think I should be applauded for my considerable restraint.
Second, I want to mention that it's my friend Kristen's birthday today. Kristen and I went to Kindergarten through Senior Year at Hill-Murray High School together. She's my oldest friend and I don't get to see her enough. Have a great day, Kristen.
I feel like I have a little bit too much to do today, personally. The laundry is piled up to the ceiling, I need to drop off/pick up dry cleaning, I said I'd go do some quilting today with my quilting ladies (which means I need to stop and get some food for the pot-luck lunch we always do (would Entenmenn's from CVS be okay?) ), and I was hoping to maybe get my nails done.
It was a terror of a week and I feel like I'm still exhausted from it all. The one bright spot was going to lunch yesterday with a bunch of friends. The rest of the week was non-stop. Last night I played pitch and putt and was embarrassing. I couldn't get my head out of the week and just enjoy the game. I was hitting the ball too hard or too soft or decelerating altogether. It was awful.
Hopefully today will be a better day. I've got one more week before I leave for Philly and Institute. I'll be a third year student this summer and I can hardly believe that years one and two are behind me. We might be bringing on another staff person in the office and while I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch I can't help crossing my fingers and holding them tight at the possibility. Having a person doing all our events would make my life a lot more pleasant.
So everyone do the Secret with me, okay? Repeat after me, "I am grateful for the day."
Now, "I am grateful for extra help in Kate's office."
Finally, "I am grateful for a big bowl of ice cream for breakfast."
Peace out, y'all.
