Invention to be Invented

You know what would be awesome?

If someone invented a greeting card that had the postage already affixed to the envelope you get with it. Think about it. Stock up on cards, pull one out when you need it, address it, and boom. Drop it in the mail.

No more scrabbling around trying to find your stamps. No more realizing you're out. No more sending the card out late because it took you four days to remember to buy more.

Postage already on the envelope. Why can't someone invent that?

Excellent idea. You're the entrepreneur!

I believe you can get postage paid envelopes at the USPS, but I'm pretty sure they are # 10s.

True, but not the same as getting a card at CVS that's just already TAKEN CARE OF.

Thank God the Beast had a stamp I could steal.

They do that in India - I don't know why they don't it here.

You can just have all of your greeting cards done on line and even attach a scanned signature that looks like you signed it. They will print and mail for you. But that's not personal.

A more complicated (less last minute) alternative that would be really awesome is if I could order just the cards I want from somewhere, give them my addresses and they can send me the blank cards with envelopes already addressed and stamped. The card makers should still sell pre stamped envelopes, though. Probably some dumb post office regulation preventing it.

I also don't know why it's not easier to get stamps. Why can't I pick them up at the grocery store, or the card store or the stationery store (where I will remember I need them).

BTW - anonymous was your Friendly Neighborhood Woodman catching up on his RSS feeds after being away.

I'm glad you added that, Woodman. For a second I was like, this anonymous person is devoting an awful lot of time to a random blog...what a loser.
