Tree Skirt

I threw away the felt tree skirt that I bought from CVS years ago at the end of last season thinking I'd have no trouble replacing it with something nice this year. Unfortunately every store I went into had none!

I didn't want to schlepp to the mall, but it was looking like that would be my only option until I saw some really beautiful red cloth place mats. Since I'm told that I'm handy with a needle and thread I decided to make a tree skirt out of place mats.

Here's Trixie modeling the new place mat tree skirt. For some reason the fabric looks different from one to the next but I assure you that they're all the same.

So this is probably it for the week. The Beast and I start driving for NC tomorrow morning at about seven am and we won't be back until Friday. Until then I wish you all a very Merry Christmas with lots of presents, good food, warm company and ice cold martinis.
