Fun with Joy & Kat

Joyous and Kat came down to NYC last weekend and after taking in the Statue of Liberty they took the train across the river to my house.

After dinner on Friday we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Kat, always the sophisticate, crossed her legs like a lady while eating her snack.

On Saturday we had a late breakfast and then drove to Florham Park to visit Imagine That! a children's museum.

Among other thing, Kat was able to get on a real motorcycle and pretend to drive it.
In the museum's gift shop we bought these kickin' hair extensions.

Dinner was at Friendlies (a total guilty pleasure of mine and one I only allow myself when dining with children). Kat took this of me while I daintily sipped my water.

After dinner we came back to the house where we played on the swings and...

...drew with sidewalk chalk!

Kat left this awesome message in my driveway.

In case you can't quite read the message it says: "Aunt Kate Rocks". Word.

Here's the full picture along with a self-portrait of the artist.

On Sunday the Beast joined us for breakfast.

It was hard not to get a little silly over eggs and bacon. What's breakfast without a lemon wedge in your mouth after all?

What a great time you all had! How nice that Kat is now old enough to be able to take such trips.
