I tried to post this on Thursday but my laptop kept freezing. So I went back to sewing and cooking. Well, I say "cooking"...
The Beast hooked us up with a butcher in Scotch Plains who gave us a 4 lb boneless turkey, stuffing, gravy and mac n cheese. I did my yummy glaze (1/2 c. khalua, 1 c. apricot preserves, mix, ladle over bird) that's not really mine but stolen from a friend, and threw it in the oven for an hour and 45 minutes.
Then I did instant potatoes and my own gravy from the leavings of the bird and wha-la.
Happy Thanksgiving. Happy four-day weekend. Happy trip up to Ballston Spa. Happy Mantle of Giving. Don't know what Mantle of Giving is? Watch this space...
And now, without further ado, CHRISTMAS! Time for cards, presents, cookies, candy, pies, chocolate, cleaning, wrapping and so much more.
I wish you good luck and Godspeed.
